Just because you're sitting in the spectator chair watching your opponent clean the pool table on you doesn't mean that you're helpless. Understanding the importance getting to the core of your opponent is absolute. What makes them tick? Is there a way you can influence the game without breaking the rules?Different people have different names for the strategies presented in this video. Is it hustling? Sharking? I like to call it engagement. Staying engaged in the match by trying to subconsciously effect your opponent. Some players aren't comfortable with playing the game this way. That's totally acceptable. The important thing is to understand that you don't want to be the shooter that gets effected by the hustler.Mental toughness in pool is just as important and completing drills and practicing. A player needs to control their emotions. Stay focused. However that can be hard when experienced and seasoned players take advantage of your weaknesses on the table and in your mind.
