14.1 Straight Pool - EARL STRICKLAND vs MIKE SIGEL - Living Legends Challenge
In a one of a kind event, Pat Fleming invited Earl Strickland and Mike Sigel to Sandcastle Billiards in February 2018, for a 10 round challenge match, that would see the players compete in various disciplines. After the first two rounds of play (8-Ball and 10-Ball), Earl Strickland held a 2-0 lead over Mike Sigel. Round three was a 125 point match and Mike Sigel had to like his chances with this discipline. John Bender and Bill Hendrixson were on the mic, but of more interest to viewers, with Sigel and Strickland were miced up for the match. What: LIVING LEGENDS CHALLENGE: Mike Sigel vs. Earl Strickland- Where: Aramith/Simonis Arena at Sandcastle Billiards, Edison, NJ- When: February 23-25, 2018 Accu-Stats introduced what turned out to be, as Mike Pannozo at Billiard Digest, "The most entertaining way to watch pool ever" What's so different about this one-on-one? Both players have open wireless microphones strapped to their hip. Pat Fleming compounded Pannozo's observation, "It's not so much about the score, it's about the banter!" And the banter got more acerbic, and profane, as "Mike the Mouth" struggled in the opening disciplines. Earl, no stranger to sharing his pearls of wisdom with the crowd, soon responded in kind. So beware, the unexpurgated version gives new meaning to "colorful" commentary. And, now that you have been made aware that this may not be your usual sedate, and sanctified, Accu-Stats commentary, let's get to the six discipline format of the first ever LIVING LEGENDS CHALLENGE. Six disciplines are 8-Ball, 9-Ball, 10-Ball, Straight Pool, One Pocket, and Banks. After six matches, if a player has fallen too far behind, in an offer of the opportunity of redemption, he gets to choose the next game.- - - - - - - - - - You can watch over 400 Accu-Stats Arena matches from the 2018 - 2022 INTL 9-BALL OPEN and 2016-2022 Derby City Classic, 2015-2017 US Open 9-Ball, as well as other Accu-Stats Invitationals on Accu-Stats Vimeo Subscription service: https://vimeo.com/ondemand/asvod/ Website: http://www.accu-stats.comFacebook: https://www.facebook.com/accustats/Twitter: https://twitter.com/accustatspoolInstagram: https://www.instagram.com/accu_stats_...Vimeo: https://vimeo.com/ondemand/asvod/ International Open Website: https://www.intlopen.comRoku Channel Name: ACCUSTATS©2026 Accu-Stats Video Productions#accustats #billiards
