2024 George Breedlove vs Julio $40,000 high stake 9 Ball pool billiard match, 7 Ahead Set Derby city
This is a 7-ahead set high stake money match. For those who are not familiar with the high stake gambling lingos, an "x ahead set" means a player must win by x number of games. So if player A wins a game, he moves his coin to his direction, and if player B wins the next game, the same coin moves back, until the coin reaches the x number of games. In this match, it is a 7-ahead set, so 1 player must be UP by 7 games to be decided a winner. This format is very popular in the high stakes world. In this "ahead set" format, a match can take days, and sometimes both players simply can't finish because it just keeps on going and going, they negotiate the "buyout".
